Hi Reader, Your employer has known exactly what your expertise is worth for years. That's precisely why they've been paying you less. Not how you thought that sentence would end, huh? Not your roles and responsibilities. The specific judgment you carry that took years to develop. The things colleagues ask you about informally. The problems you solve that never make it into a performance review. Write it down. Most people have never done this, and it's the reason they undersell themselves in every negotiation and every career conversation they have. Step 2: Identify who else needs it.Your expertise doesn't only have value inside your current organization. Map the adjacent industries, roles, and problems where your knowledge applies. A healthcare administrator who understands regulatory compliance isn't only valuable to one hospital system. A marketing strategist who knows how to reach underserved communities isn't only useful to one brand. Step 3: Audit how you're currently pricing access to it.This is where most people go quiet.
